About The Business

Wordsworkers helps small businesses, big businesses, and the not-for-profit sector. We write and project manage grants and tenders, we do copywriting, and we can assist with professional communications planning. Our work also extends to translations and localisation of content in Australia and Germany. The business is run by Ellenor Day and Daniel Lutz and based in the beautiful Flinders Ranges in South Australia. We provide services globally and have many international clients.

Meet Ellenor

Ellenor has Bachelors degrees in both Communication (Journalism) and Business. She has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Management. Ellenor has worked in all levels of government, and in both the private and not-for-profit sectors in Adelaide & regional South Australia, Broken Hill (Far West NSW), Canberra and Calgary in Canada.

While working in Canada, Ellenor worked for a marketing and promotions company in the food and beverage industry. This role involved writing sales pitches and marketing information for a range of products in accordance with Canadian/US spelling and grammar. Clients included Walmart, Danone and Kelloggs.

Ellenor is the chief writer for Wordsworkers. In addition to her love of researching and writing stories, she has a great love of the arts and keeps busy out in the community. As a former jewellery designer, art gallery manager, and festival organiser, Ellenor often helps with arts and community projects. She's also passionate about lifelong learning and is always taking courses to upskill, while Daniel keeps telling her, "Please, no more projects!"

Meet Daniel

Daniel is a native German speaker with experience in German/English translation, sales and communications with clients over the world.  He completed formal Office Clerk Training in Germany and has experience working in Northern Germany and Australia.  He worked for more than six years as a Key Account Manager in the shipping industry, but also has experience in the automotive, home furnishings and food & beverage industries.

Daniel is the practical half of the partnership and makes sure that the business is smooth sailing.  He's in charge of finance, business development, and he also does all of the German/English translation work.

Daniel enjoys every moment of country Australian life and is active in the community.  He is a volunteer with the SES and he's even found a love of lawn bowls, playing for one of the 
Port Augusta teams.
