About The Business
Wordsworkers helps small businesses, big businesses, and the not-for-profit sector. We write and project manage grants and tenders, we do copywriting, and can assist with professional communications planning. Founded in 2015 and based in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia, we currently provide services across Australia, and for clients based in the USA and UK. Over the years, we've worked for clients in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Sweden, and the United Arab Emirates.

Meet Ellenor
Ellenor Day is the owner and chief writer at Wordsworkers. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Communication (Journalism) and Business, along with a Graduate Certificate in Management.
​
Over the years, Ellenor has worked across all levels of government and in the private and not-for-profit sectors, supporting organisations across Australia and internationally. That experience means she understands how different organisations work and how important it is to communicate clearly, especially when the stakes are high.
​
In addition to her experience working in Australia, Ellenor worked with a marketing and promotions agency in the food and beverage industry in Calgary, Canada, in 2009. She wrote sales pitches and marketing material for well-known brands, working to Canadian and US spelling and style requirements. Clients included Walmart, Danone, and Kellogg’s.
​
Ellenor started Wordsworkers because she enjoys helping organisations say what they actually mean, in plain English. She specialises in translating ideas into action and brings a practical, can-do approach to her work.

As the founder of Grant Getter, Ellenor also provides practical resources and training to community groups and not-for-profits across Australia, helping them understand the grants process and write stronger, more confident applications.
